Originally assembled for GE Medical Systems and used in an MRI
machine which was salvaged.

Large Rubber Roller appears to
have an internal planetary gear train which freewheels (remains
stationary) when the motor is operating until solenoid engages
the moving large brass gear and then the large rubber roller turns.
It will operate in both directions.
Gates Power Grip Drive Belt transfers power to the motor to the
large rubber roller.
The smaller rubber roller just freewheels.
Housed in a sturdy aluminum surrounding frame.
Originally used in an MRI machine to move and position
the table on which the person is lying.
This can be
adapted to use as a small conveyor belt drive unit
or a drive unit in a robotics application or the motor could be
removed to be used in a separate application.
The drive motor is an

When the solenoid is activated, the large brass gear is held in
place. Then the whole assembly will slowly roll along, (if sitting
on a table) driven by the motor, through the power grip drive
