Excellent physical condition
OEM Ford Explorer Mountaineer Mustang Radio CD Player.
Fits 2004
2005 models (see below).
It was removed from a 2004 Ford Explorer by the owner to replace it
instead with
a radio that works with an iPod.
He assured me that it worked perfectly at the time of removal. It
probably did. But I have since tested this
and discovered that the CD player does not recognize a disc. When
you try to play one, you get "err" on the screen.
I was told by a Ford mechanic that it's typical for these CD players to
stop working after they are removed
from the vehicle and then put back
into service. He doesn't know what the actual cause of the "err"
message is.
Someone knowledgeable may be able to repair it.
The radio portion works fine. Sold "as-is" for parts or repair
only.
